Yes, you can. Considering the amount of time required to process your free ad request, you can currently post your free ad upto 3 locations at a time

6.I'm a trade advertiser; can I place an international free ad of commercial nature?  
Yes, you can post free ads of commercial nature via our network. The approval & quality of response will however be dependent on the specific nature of your product or service that you seek to promote. Businesses promoting referral, MLM, pyramid schemes and other related scams are strictly prohibited from using our service. Failure to comply can attract legal proceeding and severe penalties.

7.Why should I post job opportunities on the Friends of the World Network site? 
If you want to hire someone internationally on contract or freelance basis and avoid relocation/travel costs, then you should advertise on Friends of the World Network.

8.Are all submitted ads published? 
The Friends of the World network is happy to provide this service free of cost with members around the world who are affiliated to our network. However, please remember that we don't hold any editorial or financial interest over our members and cannot guarantee publication of your ad. Besides, the laws on advertising, publishing and censorship in other countries may not be the same as in your own country and may affect the publication of your ad. Also, bear in mind that we reserve the right to refuse and modify any free ad that we feel is inappropriate for our network

9.Are all ads censored and is there any limit to what I can put in my Ad? 
Our staff do not screen or approve/disapprove any ads but we reserve the right to refuse any ad or photograph that we feel is inappropriate or modify the same as necessary.

We do not accept content from individuals under the age of 18 and prohibit material that exploits or solicits personal information from individuals under the age of 18. Unauthorized use of copyrighted or trademarked material or promotion/solicitation of illegal activities is also strictly prohibited.

Please remember that submitting any personal information, including but not limited to like your age, email address, phone numbers etc, in your ad or posting business or political advertisements or solicitations is entirely at your own risk and the Friends of the world network shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, loss or exemplary damages (even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from any aspect of your use of the Service.

10.Are members on this site screened? 
No. A valid email address is required in order to obtain the full benefit of this site. Anyone abusing the services will be banned. There is no way that we can do extensive background checks on members, and we expect you to use your common sense and understand that we cannot take responsibility for any pain, damage or suffering arising from your use of this site.

11.What can I do if someone is posting abusive things about me on Friends of the World Network? 
Please alert us immediately with all of the information about the post so that we can remove it. We take this very seriously. We may also contact the individual and try to explain the error of their ways and the ramifications. If this does not work we may give them the smack down, remove them from the site and initiate legal action.

12.If I post a free ad on your site how will people to contact me if they are interested in my advertisement? 
Our posting forms will ask you to select a reply type so users can notify you of there interest. If you wish, you can leave your phone number, email address and supply your contact information in the posting itself at your own risk or you can select the anonymous option, to provide a privacy buffer between you and the public.

13.Once published, how long will my free ad remain active? 
To eliminate unnecessary consumption of our resources, all Free ads requests are automatically deleted 30 days from date they are posted irrespective of whether they have been actually published or not? If you wish to remove your post early than 30 days, please specify the time option in your posts.

14.Can I include third party links in my posting? 
You may include third party links in your free ads; however, we do not allow address links that lead to Adware, Spyware, Malware and Pornware programs. These malicious programs are strictly forbidden. Any posting associated with these types of intrusive parasites will be removed without notice and the posters IP address will be blacklisted and eventually banned from the site. We have a zero tolerance policy regarding this matter.

15.How long will it take before my international ad is published? 
This differs from paper to paper, website to website. Some papers are printed daily, some once a week. Most ads are published within a week or a month.

16.Do you have any tips on how to create an effective ad? 
Considering the diversity of our global audience, the number of replies you get will depend greatly on the quality and the uniqueness of your ad.

Here are some helpful tips that will help you:

Photograph: People like to see whom they're writing to and as a result, ads with photographs get up to ten times more responses than ads that don't have one. This holds very true if you are placing a dating or a personals ad.

Create an Appealing title for your Ad: The title of your Ad is what grabs the attention. As a general rule, an ad title like “Hi!” does not catch people's attention, where as more personalized titles do. Think twice before you write anything and be precise. The better your ad, the more likely that it will get approved for publication and that it will make others read and respond to it.

17.Can I add Photographs along with my ad?  
If you are placing a Personals ad, a nice photograph of yourself adds personality and presence to your ad and ads with photos get approved ten times faster than those without photos for publication.

You can send your photograph as an attachment to “snaps at friends of the world dot in” with the subject 'Snap' followed by your friendsoftheworld.net id. Please remember to use your registered email address only and also add your first and last name, your address, your date of birth and details of your free ad. Please send only one photo per email. All images must be .jpg or .png format and no larger than 500KB.

18.What are the guidelines for posting a photograph? 
Photographs will not be submitted for publication until our staff approves them. We reserve the right to reject any photo at our discretion. Please do not post nude, obscene, sexual, violent or otherwise offensive photos of any nature. Cartoon characters and celebrity photographs are copyrighted and you should not post them. Images of minors (children) will ensure rejection of the photograph and also severe prosecution.

When you submit your photo for the Dating section, please ensure that you are in the photo and clearly visible reflecting your current appearance.

19.Why can't I see my free ad? 
With the exception of the Personal Ad section where you can view the latest ads, we have discontinued the view ads option due to severe abuse by spammers. Once you post an ad, our automated system first checks for spam and virus abuse and then forwards it for processing. Once this process is complete and subject to availability, one of our staff checks your free ad for authenticity. Please remember that we reserve the right to refuse any free ad that we feel is inappropriate for our network. To a larger degree, this way, we eliminate spam, viruses and abusive posts.

20.When will Friends of the World Network provide additional locations? 
We continuously add new locations to the Friends of the World Network family. The selection of cities to be added depends largely upon the user requests and availability of a free classified media there. So, if you would like us to add your city or paper, contact us and we'll see what we can do for you.

21.I didn't receive the verification email? 
If you have taken all the necessary steps to complete your registration but still have not received the verification email to authenticate your membership then please check the following: Make sure you have entered your email address correctly on the registration form; sometimes the smallest typographical mistake can disable the process. It's quite possible that our email was intercepted by an optimized email service, which you subscribe too. Occasionally, these filters will block our email so; we also recommend that you check your Junk/Spam/Bulk mail related folder(s). Sometimes, it can take up to 10 minutes to an hour to receive your verification email. If you have checked all this and have still not received your verification email, please register again or contact us.

22.How do I unsubscribe? 
If you are unhappy with our service for some reason and have decided to leave, simply contact us with your request and we will immediately delete your records within 4 working days. However, please remember to tell us why you are leaving so that we improve our services.
